Is colour enough on it's own? Well yes, it is. These are some shots from various experiments from the past 5-6 years. Using blocks of colour, framed by the architectural space, often using found objects, drawing from the shapes of church windows, sampling colour from the street or from a local garden.
The late great Craigie Aitchison talks about starting a painting with a colour, then letting the process unravel as he put one colour next to another. Colour alone is enough....
